Dr Leon nitkin is number obgyn in Brooklyn he helped me a lot with my problems , not only is he the best obgyn I would never change for anybody I don't have kids yet hearing from him to come to him in 2 years so he can deliver my child was the best wish as I came to him I felt warmth and comfort he has an amazing heart and the best sense humor. The best gyn I have ever experienced. I moved to Brooklyn 7 years ago. It took 5 years to find him. I had the worst experiences before. Here is a list of my pros and cons: Pros- Easy to get appointment Nice waiting facilities More than one office location Doc is EXTREMELY knowledgable Doc is very observant and will assist you with other issues (he helped me get amazing doc when I had a botched cast...if he didn't notice I would have assumed I was ok) He is willing to hear your complaints He never causes unnecessary anxiety Gives great advice Will send scripts over phone to pharmacy quickly Nice nursing staff He is sensitive to pain that women experience during procedures Provides comprehensive referrals Will talk to you about your future family planning He dresses nicely (lol this isn't important but I like it) Will give you useful remedies for problems when most docs give meds Will sit with you and do online searches for useful products, info, and referrals Cons- His bedside manner isn't the most friendly but I don't think he isn't friendly. If you want a warm cuddly doc right away he might not be your guy. By no means is he rude. He is just more calm and collected. He seems more interested in listening and figuring things out. If you can get past this sort of thing I guarantee he will blow you away with his knowledge Some times you can wait for a while. Usually I just make an early appointment and get there early. I have waited a while before. He doesn't deliver babies (so I heard). His nurse said he doesn't anymore which made me slightly sad. I have no intention on changing my doctor but it does suck to know he wouldn't be delivering my children. His Brighton Beach location is better than DTBK. Not a huge deal but it's substantial to me. DTBK easier to get to for me. My very good friend recommended him to me. Since that time I have referred 4 people to Dr. Nitkin. I explain to then my pros and cons (especially his personality bc I feel that would turn people off if they don't give him a chance). Each person leaves saying "I love him. I am not changing". Ladies he's awesome! Don't miss out.

Dr. Nitkin completed his medical degree at Perm State Medical Academy, followed by two residencies in obstetrics and gynecology, including one at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center and a second at the State University of New York (SUNY), Downstate Medical Center.
Dr. Nitkin welcomes new patients as well as walk-in patients. He speaks English, Russian and Polish, and the practice accepts most major types of insurance plans.
